Curly Coated Retriever has different names like CCR and Curly. This dog helps in waterfowl hunting and up-landing bird.

Appearance
Curly has different structure as compared to other common retrievers. It is little tall in shape. It is available in many colors like solid liver and solid black. Their eyes are either brown or black in color. It is very unusual to have yellow eyes. Their nose is also pigmented. Their height ranges from 25 to 27 inches. Weight must be proportionate with the dog’s size. They do not have any undercoat.

Temperament
Curly is agile in nature and has lot of grace, strength and endurance. Curly is basically a hunting dog and its temperament reflects this aspect. They are well accepted as pets & are fun-loving in nature. They are fond of exercise. They are quite affectionate and loyal with their family and owners. This breed of dog is very intelligent and training becomes difficult sometimes.

Health
The normal lifespan of Curly is between 9 to 14 years. This breed of dog can suffer from diseases like Hip dysplasia, Eye problems like entropion, ectropion, cataracts, or corneal dystrophy, distichiasis, retinal dysplasia, Bloat, Cardiac problems, Epilepsy, Glycogen Storage Disease (GSD) and Cancer.
